Choose What You Pay

This weekend we launched our Choose What You Pay store, offering customers the chance to select their price on a collection of past season styles. In addition, we’ve partnered with the Australian Marine Conservation Society, providing the opportunity for shoppers to donate a portion of their payment to help support the charity.

Our Choose What You Pay store offers styles at up to 40% off the original retail price, with three additional pricing options. If customers choose to pay more for the product, the difference will be donated to the Australian Marine Conservation Society and matched equally by Assembly Label.

We’re always looking to engage with our audience in ways that extend beyond the standard retailer/customer relationship and the notion of ‘giving back’ has been a subject of discussion for some time. Rather than contributing a flat percentage of sales, we wanted to take a non-traditional approach and allow our customers to dictate our level of contribution based on their own alignment with the cause.

- Damien Horan, Assembly Label Cofounder

The Australian Marine Conservation Society is an independent charity working on a number of issues concerning the ocean. Their key focus is to create marine sanctuaries, make Australia's fisheries sustainable and protect and recover threatened ocean wildlife, such as dolphins, sharks and whales. The funds raised through our Choose What You Pay store will be donated to their campaign to stop plastic pollution in our oceans, one of the biggest threats to the wellbeing of marine animals.

Through Assembly Label, we celebrate a coastal lifestyle and we share a deep appreciation for the ocean, it’s a way of meaningfully ensuring we are contributing to its preservation. We also wanted to align with a locally based enterprise with a distinctly Australian focus.”

Our Choose What You Pay store is exclusive to online and open now until 11.59 (AEST) Monday 26 November.
