Our QV boutique returns with more space and a renewed interior, bringing clothing, art and design together in the heart of Melbourne.
Set along Albert Coates Lane, within QV’s network of laneways, the boutique was designed in collaboration with We Are Triibe. The space extends the Assembly Label design language, drawing on classic modernist references and the familiarity of a lived-in home. Spotted Gum timber, softly washed walls and brushed steel form a restrained material palette, layered with Akari and Henry Wilson lighting and vintage and contemporary furniture chosen to sit naturally together. Rather than revealing everything at once, the space invites you in for a closer look, with details emerging as you move through it.
Clothing sits alongside objects selected for their enduring design and place in the home. A vintage 1970s Le Bambole seat by Mario Bellini and Eileen Gray’s Menton Table are joined by artwork from Morgan Stokes and planting by Botanicah Sanctuary, bringing warmth, texture and character to the space.
That sense of discovery continues across the shelves, where a selection of books curated with First Edition Library spans art, architecture, photography and design, offering a glimpse into the references, ideas and people that shape the wider Assembly Label world.
With more room to browse and spend time, the Assembly Label QV Boutique is designed as a place to return to, where clothing sits naturally alongside books, art and objects made to be kept and lived with.
