Each fortnight, we’re sitting down with a member of our team to learn more about their personal pursuits, wellness rituals and Assembly Label essentials.
Meet Cameron Peters, our Art Director.

Hi Cam! Tell us about yourself and your role at Assembly Label.

I studied Sculpture at University but ended up working in fashion & advertising for the last 15 years. After working as Art Director at a handful of other brands and agencies, I've been at Assembly for over 4 years now and really feel like it's the right place to be. My job is to create the imagery that you see across our marketing channels. I concept shoots, design the production schedule and then make them happen. Once that is done, I work with our creative team to roll the imagery out into various pieces of collateral that the business requires.

What does an average day at work look like for you?

One of my favourite things about my job is that each day can be vastly different. One day l could be in the office meeting with other Assembly Label teams, and the next out on a shoot. There isn't really an average day as such, which is awesome.

How do you create balance in your work and life, are there any rituals or practices you will be employing in 2021?

Luckily, switching off is something I find really easy to do. I love cooking a really nice meal after work as it totally relaxes me and is a lovely way to divide day and evening. Quite often, after dinner, my partner and I will go for a walk by the water near our house, which is very relaxing.

I really slipped out of a regular exercise pattern during 2020 so it's a big priority this year to head to yoga, pilates or the gym at least 3-4 times a week. So far this year, that has been a success.

Outside of work, what do you love to do?

I've been working on a series of little artworks which is fun. I have a great group of really close mates so I love catching up with them and going to the beach. We used to hang out at the pub but it's not so common after 2020!

What is your most-worn Assembly Label piece?

At the moment it's the Reuben Tee  - I bought all the colours but have been living in the Antique White.
