Ivy Wool Coat

I’m around 153cm and usually a size 6 in Assembly Label shirts. I don’t have broad shoulders, so I went with the XXS size 4-6. I did try it on in store first though, as I probably would have ordered the XS size 6-8 otherwise.

I really like the relaxed fit and the longer length. I actually wanted something long for colder days so it keeps my legs warm as well, not just my upper body.

It’s a really simple, minimalist coat with pockets and a sash. I personally prefer wearing it without the sash as I think it keeps the coat looking a bit more structured. I just keep the sash as an option if I feel like wearing it differently.

I’ve worn it when it was around 3 degrees and it was a lifesaver, but I’ve also worn it open in 15-degree weather over a thermal top and it worked really well. There’s enough room for a jumper underneath too without it looking too bulky.

My only wish is that it had a single button so I had the option of closing it without the sash. Other than that, I’m really happy with it and the colour is great and works with lots of colours in my wardrobe.

I had this on my Wishlist for awhile and it definitely exceeded my expectations. It is so comfortable to wear and obviously super warm. The 100% wool makes it so much more cozy than the overcoats of old with lining. I can see this being a stable for years of cold winters to come.
