How To Care For Knitwear

PROPERTIES - GUIDE TO OUR YARNS:

All 100% natural fibres.

WOOL:

Natural, bio-degradable, breathable and renewable.

MERINO WOOL:

Natural, bio-degradable, breathable and super soft on the skin.

EXTRAFINE MERINO WOOL:

Natural, bio-degradable, breathable and fine in composition, offering lightweight softness on the skin.

COTTON:

Natural, bio-degradable and breathable.

CASHMERE:

A stronger, finer yarn that’s super soft on the skin.

WASHING:

For Merino Wool & Cashmere garments, we advise to handwash separately. For other knits, handwash or machine wash on a cool, gentle cycle with like colours. Use a gentle, eco-friendly detergent or wool detergent and avoid harsh chemicals or stain removers, which can affect the colour. If handwashing, soak for 5-10 minutes and rinse thoroughly, then roll in a clean towel and gently apply pressure, to absorb excess water.

MENDING & MAINTAINING:

Piling is a natural occurrence when wearing soft wool fibres and can gently be removed by hand.

Snagging can easily be resolved by gently pulling the long, loose yarn back inside the garment and tying into a knot.

Mending is a wonderful way to preserve the life of a knitted garment and add character. We recommend darning; the process of sewing over the hole with new yarn thread, in vertical and horizontal strokes.

HELPFUL TIPS:

Dry your knitwear flat and store it folded, as hanging in either instance may affect the shape of the garment.
