okay so I never write reviews, but I need to send the message that they should keep this shirt in their line. At the moment it is saying "final sale" which I interpret as end of line. Or maybe at least keep using the fabric that it has been made with. This is a gorgeous shirt. Colour and material is perfect. It is thick but with a lovely drape. Importantly for a lighter coloured shirt it is not see-through. Yes if you wear it over dark pants you will see the darkness of the pants coming through. But I can wear this without a camisole without seeing under garments. Something that is unbelievably rare. FWIW I have similar skin colour to model. Love the placket and stitching detail. Collar stands beautifully when fully buttoned or with top buttons open.
The side splits are slightly high, but not problematic (you can tuck into a high waist pant without seeing the side split). And (for me) there is an open gape at the boob, but that is (sadly) common and can be fixed with invisible stitching to permanently close it.
I immediately ordered two more of these shirts as soon as I confirmed the sizing on my first delivery because it is so hard to find a quality shirt in a light colour at this price point. The shirts will suit a casual summer look (untucked), or a country-wear style tucked into jeans, or as a business shirt under a blazer.
Other Assembly Label shirts are sometimes too over-sized (especially the poplins), but this shirt is not over-sized.
